Beliefs

Linden Baptist Church is a theologically conservative, Bible-believing church. Our Statement of Faith is the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message. Below you will find a brief summary of our beliefs as well as a link to the full text of the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message. We believe the Holy Bible is the divinely inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. We believe that the one God is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, His deity, His sinless humanity and perfect life. We believe in the complete sufficiency of Jesus Christ’s substitutionary death for the forgiveness of sin to all who will believe and receive Him. We believe in Jesus Christ’s bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father’s right hand and His personal future return to earth. We believe that a person is saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We believe that a New Testament Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of baptized believers in Jesus who have voluntarily joined together to carry out the Great Commission of Christ. We believe in the observance of the two ordinances of the church: (1) Christian baptism by immersion for believers and (2) the Lord’s Supper.
